Year 2 produced an outstanding performance of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The girls had a ball acting out the well-known roles of Willy Wonka, the Oompa Loompas, the spoilt children and their parents. Their creative costumes, hand-made props and convincing acting wowed the audiences. The girls had worked extremely hard on rehearsing their lines and projecting their voices. Despite the enormous crowds awaiting them in front of the curtains, the girls were not put off and were able to confidently entertain the masses. The songs and well-coordinated dance moves injected both humour and energy into the show and it was clear to see from the girls’ smiles that they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Year 2 reaped the rewards of hard work and determination which will undoubtedly benefit them in future productions.
